Anyway, I tried sticking 2 layers of lashes together for fun.
hehe.

I combined Ardel and Dollywink No.2 together because I don't like the wide gaps in between Dollywink No.2.

So this is how it looks like after sticking them together.

Nice right?! Got both volume & lenght!

Double Combo! (-^〇^-)
The lipstick cost $28.

The casing. I like how they did something special to the packaging.
A special visual touch! :D

The product. Like the material used.
It's easy to open and looks mature & simple.

Viva Glam Gaga 2

The Stick.
It has a sweet & rather strong vanilla smell.
Which is good, you seldom find lipstick that smells nice! (ノ*゜▽゜*)ニパパパ

The effect.
It's a NUDE LIP colour.
Not really suitable for office wear or casual wear.
A wrong combo will look like you are frigging sick or dying soon.

The lipstick itself is rather "liquidy".
When applying, it will get uneven easily.
but if you smack your lips a few times it will ok. ;P
(Something like nail polish? sometimes some are too diluted & when you apply your second layer it will become uneven.)
Apart from this flaw, I think this lipstick is good.
"Holding power" is quite strong,
the lipstick stays on my lips for quite a good amount of time.

Add on a layer of beige colour lipgloss for a more radiant & complete look!

My MILLION DOLLAR worth opinion: 2 words. I like! (^w^) ぶぶぶ・・・
I bought because I saw Sylvia using it in front of me & I fell in love with the colour. heheh.

But I always have a bias towards beige to nude colour lipstick though.
I find them more subtle & soft. More cute. Can be a little mature & sexy too. Not as loud as red or dark colours.

This is one product which I would love to try.
Apart from this mag survey results, I personally know of a few person that are using this product and they all keep telling me how good it is.
My neighbour(30+ yrs old) who is using this, say that it gives her skin a radiant glow.
On top of it, it's also very AFFORDABLE.

2nd: Sana Soy Milk Whitening Very Moisture Toner (116 votes)

Popteen surveyors claims that this toner has stong moisturizing power, makes skin feels more elastic & very affordable too.

If you are looking for a gloss that does not make your lips look like:
"I-just-had-Kentucky-Fried-Chicken",
this series is definitely the one for you!
Reasons being, this gloss is thicker than the normal gloss.
If other lipglosses are say, 50% lipstick + 50% water,
den this would be 75% lipstick, 25% water content.
& this is the reason why I like it!
Yes, the wind will still get stuck to my hair,
but it's more minor now, within my tolerance level.

Colour wise, Macaroon Pink is a very girly-pinkish to me.
It make ur lips stands out very very much.
Definitely not suitable for a casual daily usage.
You need to look ALL-DOLLED-UP or you will look like someone trying to hard.
So it's actually not very economical,
given that it's a gloss that caters to a specific genre of look only.
But but BUT!!!
Having said that, it totally depends on what kind of lipstick you match it with babe!
According to Candydoll, this gloss is suppose to be matched with Candydoll Lemonade Pink Lipstick (which I will be doing a review on soon~)
So suppose you do not want that too dolly pinkish lips,
change ur lipstick colour to a more nuddish or reddish tone!
& apply lesser gloss of course!

Alternatively, you can buy the other colours in the Candydoll lipgloss series!

One week full of trauma.
Seeing how Japan got affected by Earthquake, Tsunami & Nuclear Crisis.
I can't help but be amused by how unfortunate that is.
But don't get me wrong!
I'm not laughing at Japan's current plight.
But the news hit me in a way,
that sounds so surreal...
It feels like watching some movie call "Apocalypse of Japan"

People are suffering.
Lack of fuel is slowing down the transportation of aid supplies.
The snow is causing many to freeze to death.
Japanese survivors tolerance for their inefficient government aid to them are weakening.
Possible nuclear meltdown.
Trying to cool down Japan Nuclear Reactor 3 and 4.
Aftershocks from the earthquake.
Japan not receiving as much help because many sees them as a filthy rich economy that does not need help.
THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS THAT ARE SPECULATING THE YEN CURRENCY.

Please don't blame the government.
This is a first of it kind type of crisis.
No leader would be able to handle it.
There are no examples to follow.
There are no history to refer to.
And there all so many things they have to worry for.
Of course they will place their priority with the nuclear crisis!
Well, I would like to say that they does not have much of a CHOICE.
The whole world is presurring them.

& the Japanese.
during 2010 Haiti's earthquake, Japan donated USD75 Million
in 2004 India's tsunami, Japan donated USD500 Million
so why are we so reluctant to donate?
they need our donations & help!
people that are hit by disasters need to feel comforted.
they need people to cheer them up, to stay optimistic!
Some uneducated or the elder generation might still be bearing the grudge of the Japanese invasion during WW2.
But I am quite sure if you are viewing this post,
you definitely don't fall within that category.
And that's not my point anyway,
the message I hope to convey is that the people who are currently suffering now,
these Japanese, are innocent lives that were not involved in WW2.
Even if you hate the country for their stubbornness,
KEEP YOUR HUMANITY. We are all HUMANS after all.
These survivors and victims need to feel that they are not alone,
they need to feel that they are being cared for,
they need words of couragement for the strength to look forward and move on.

Don't we all need it during the lowest times in our lives?
How does it feel to have someone constantly giving you words of encouragement when things seems to go wrong?
It's time to do some self reflection.

ARDELL Adhesive

Under peer pressure, I got the ARDELL adhesive also.
Was MEGA disappointed initially cze it wasn't the kind that sylvia had shown me. ⇩ ⇩ ⇩

Very upset cause it was WHITE! I wanted a CLEAR glue so that excessive cloggage at the lashbase won't be so obvious. 晴天霹雳! （-""-；)

& to make things worse, the glue stinks like SHYT!
SHYTTIER THAN SHYT! SMELLY TO THE MAX!
& when i place some glue on my fingertips, it's totally NOT STICKY.
I think if I had rubbed rice grains on my fingers, it would haven been more sticky than that useless thing!

& just when you thought things can't get any worst, the opening of the glue is so BIG!
The glue is too watery!
It's so difficult to apply on the strip without overflowing and touching the lashes! F*** man!

and the above, are the bad points of the glue.
In sumaary, it's the SMELL & PACKAGING.
Now I'll move on to the positive comments... (What? you say till so lousy still got good things to say about it meh? serious not?)
YES! Just like the usefulness of the glue, it was something that I only discover later.
That make me took a 180 degree change on my opinion of the glue!

So after applying it on my ARDELL 110 lashes, I brought along an additional DARKNESS glue(Made in Korea, Found in SaSa/JL) which I was previously using, & I thought to myself, "cham lah, today cnfm gna be a malu day gluing my lashes again & again again..."

That day I went out shopping, was a mad hot weather, sweated quite abit, moved around~, went prawning (which I consider vigourous activities for the lashes cze there is STRONG WIND & SWEAT)
& to my astonishment, my lashes were 完好无缺! It settled in swelly! ＼( ^ｏ^ )／ヤッター♪
It lasted me the whole afternoon & night!
Almost complete 12hrs of outdoor activities!
The night part was da bomb, my frd & I we walked from MRT to Mac for supper & then home(ard 40mins walk?).
I sweated a lot!
& when i remove them at night, it was still SNUGGLY TIGHT to my lids!

MOST IMPORTANTLY! unlike DARKNESS, this glue won't hurt my lids at all when I peel the lashes off. MIRACLE has occured!

In summary,
Disadvantages of ARDELL Adhesive : Smelly, Hard to apply
Advantages of ARDELL Adhesive : Dries up to be clear, WUBER strong holding power(yet gentle to my lids), easy to take off!

OVERALL: 7.5/10
It felt "healthier" than DARKNESS? I don't get painful or swollen eyelids. A clear winner over DARKNESS to me :)

On the packaging, it claims: 100% human hair.
Initially when I saw how they advertise, I was like... eeew, gross. real hair! dead! ghost!
But I saw how natural it sets down on sylvia's eyes and I was like "DAMN! I WANT THEM! XDD"
& so i bought them.

Ok. So now here's my review.

Human Hair BANZAI/FTW/IS DA BEST!
Now I know why the hype on human hair.
The texture, the feel, the EVERYTHING! o(^▽^)o キャハハハ
Basically, it feels good & looks better.
Unlike the usual fake & unknown synthetic material.

The lashes, Ardell 110 were NATURAL TO MAX!
My friend[Hui Lian, this girl who always complain about how fake dolly wink is & how she always never fails to pin point the minor flaws when I use fake lashes(in a helpful way :P)] did not notice it was fake all the why through out our MRT ride where our proxemics was like less than 20cm close?
It was so naturally fake!
No sign of mascara, no nothing! :DDD

One big flaw TO ME, is I find it not DRAMATIC enough. Good for everyday casual going-to-sch/work usage. Nothing more.
In terms of VOLUME, limited.
In terms of LENGTH, maybe around 20% longer than my usual?
I can easily live w/o it.
But that is from a perspective of ME, YVONNE LEE, this sibeh act cute and dolly girl.
For normal people or those with SCARCE eyelashes, I think it's perfect.
Just nice, nothing to Attract Attention, nothing to feel Inferior to others about.
(o^^o)ふふっ♪

& another PLUS factor for me is that the lash fits me nicely.
That means that I do not need to go through the hassle of trimming the lashes.
Which was something I always find painful to do...
It's like cutting a 10dollar bill awayyy. ('m')

Its ability to camouflage so nicely to look natural is AHmazing!

DARKNESS Eyelash Glue

My first eyelash glue.
Bought at Sasa.
Propaganded by the salesgirl there.
My impression of Sasa is really horrible these days.
The salesperson there are like a bunch of over enthusiastic unethical monkeys!

DARKNESS Eyelash Glue

Advantages of DARKNESS : Brush applicator. EASY PEASY application. The glue dries up to be clear(unless you pour a lot). Sticky. Comes with a double eye lid stick, can double up as a double eyelid glue too.

Disadvantages of DARKNESS: So sticky that it's painful to peel off at the end of the day(BLOODY PAINFUL! I need to use makeup remover to slowly remove). Upon removal, my lids will become a bit swollen & painful - which is BAD! This is a very attitude glue, it either sticks like mad, or it doesn't stick at all. In short, when the glue buay song, it doesn't care where the HELL you are AT, who you are WITH, what situation you are IN, ur lashes just collapse... (._____.) & you will be CRUSHEDDDD...

OVERALL: 5/10 Don't think I will buy it again.

Yes, I have decided to start doing it.

It is something that I feel that I am obsess about. The minor details, right down to the MOST PARTICULAR BIT, I need them to feel right! & I recently I have been reading a few makeup review blogs which sparked my interest to try it myself too.

Developmental Psychology - Attachment Theory

You can wiki it if you are very interested.
But in short, it's trying to say the below:
How parents treat their children when they are young leads them into the kind of relationships they will forge when they grow up.
And there are 4main patterns which a person can be categorized.

1. Secure Attachment
This means that the caregiver was there will the child and the child uses her as a base to explore. The caregiver was able to responds appropriately, promptly and consistently to needs
Eg. You are now in a new room. You being a child is curious and want to explore. But you are afraid. Your parents are together with you in the room to allow you to feel "safe to explore". You may be comforted by the stranger but shows clear preference for your parents.

2. Avoidant Attachment
Using the example given above, it would mean that you do not show preference to whether or not it is your parents there to comfort you or is it just a stranger. You response in the same way to both. This could be due to the fact that the caregiver shows no or little response to the distressed child.

3. Ambivalent Attachment
With the first example, this one would mean that you are angry that your parents are gone and not there with you when you wanted to explore. You get angry with the stranger. However, when your parents come back, instead of feeling happy and comforted(how Type 1 will feels), you get very angry and upset with your parents for leaving you too. [I personally feel tt this is sth like playing hard to get?] This occurs when the caregiver isn't giving a consistent response. He/She is sometimes responsive to child, or he/she ignores the child.

4. Disorganised Attachment
This is a less common type. This means that the child shows confusion and disoriented behaviors. This is caused by role confusion. For eg, a child having to take on the role of a parent.

& after knowing the basics,
what are the IMPACTS of attachment on an individual?

I can elaborate for days and nights.
But I shall just tell summarize what I felt is most important.
An insecure attachment(Type 2,3,4) in infancy WOULD tend to have similar disturbed patterns of relationships when they grow up and these will cause STRESS which will lead to mental illness and violence.
And if these people were to have children,
their children will share the same fate as them.
It's a vicious cycle isn't it? :x

You might think that all the above is nonsense,
but it's not.
It's just that i'm not good at explaining. :(
This is something worth thinking about.
To identify your attachment pattern, acknowledge your problem and CHANGE.
